practices.<br>Over the course of seven days, we will focus on the potential of each individual chakra.<br>Set in the charming town of Nerja in the south of Spain, this retreat offers you the opportunity<br>to find balance, connection and transformation.<br>Our facilitators will guide you on an inmersive journey through each chakra, studying its<br>particular energetic and emotional qualities.<br>You will then be invited to dive into a free fall of colour and texture, letting go of any<br>judgements and outcomes. Guests will be encouraged to paint freely exploring their creative<br>self through the language of painting.<br>Our yoga sessions will help you gain understanding of the inherent qualities of each of your<br>chakras and intuitive painting offers a creative outlet to express the deep experiences and<br>connections gained from yoga and meditation.<br>Our Yoga and Intuitive Art Retreat is design to offer a break from daily demands and obligations,<br>it is a rare opportunity to stop and make time for yourself; let go of stress- related tensions, reset<br>bad posture, sleeping or eating habits. With a degree from the<br>European Shadana Teacher training School, she graduated after four years of intense<br>training and continues to expand her knowledge by enrolling in different courses and retreats<br>around the world.<br>Her interests are inspired by a quest for calmer and more balanced ways to \u201cjust be\u201d.<br>Passionate about travelling and exploring nature, she is a regular hiker, paddle boarder and<br>climber.<br>Karlien\u2019s combination of breathing techniques, postures and mindfulness in her classes are<br>geared towards promoting both physical and emotional harmony. By incorporating these<br>practices, you will cultivate a sense of calm, clarity and equilibrium. By observing ourselves<br>in our daily practice, we can build on our knowledge of self. She graduated from<br>the university of Bellas Artes of Seville with an MA in fine arts and has exhibited extensively<br>in the Uk and southern of Spain, as well as illustrated several books for British and American<br>publishers.<br>Melissa is currently dividing her time between creating new works for a Solo exhibition later<br>this year and freelancing as a prop and scenic painter for the Film and TV industry.<br>Her converting interests in art therapy, self development and wellbeing make her the ideal<br>facilitator to guide you through the journey of letting go of any judgement and blocks,<br>embracing the freedom of play and exploring the symbolism hiding in the language of colour<br>and form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><br><strong>Find more on Melissa @melissalaunay and www.melissalaunay.com<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>YOGA AND MEDITATION<br><\/strong><em>With Karlien De Vos<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The classes will combine Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Breath work and mindfulness<br>meditation. We will start the day with an hour of soft morning yoga and gently wake our bodies<br>following a restful night\u2019s sleep.<br>Yoga will help you turn your awareness inwards; exploring physical, respiratory, mental and<br>emotional sensations.<br>We believe that this physical practice of Yoga offers more than just a way to keep the body<br>strong, flexible and healthy, it can also create conditions to become more present, conscious and<br>calm.<br>The classes will cater to students of any level or experience and will be adapted to individual<br>circumstances. So whether you are a beginner or more advanced, you will feel comfortable and<br>able to integrate the benefits of Yoga at your own pace.<br>Whilst Karlien has trained in many forms and styles of Yoga, she favours the soft but yet still<br>dynamic blend of Hatha and Vinyasa which is underpinned by the belief that the breath is always<br>leading the movement.<br>The daily Yoga class will always include Asanas ( physical exercises), Pranayamas ( breathing<br>practices) and different forms of meditation and Yoga Nidra ( relaxation or the yoga of sleep).<br>The aim is for you to feel relaxed and full of energy after each session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INTUITIVE PAINTING<br><\/strong><em>With Melissa Launay<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a light hearted, practical and playful workshop centred around reconnecting with your<br>creative self.<br>In this course you will explore and learn how to use colour, textures and your intuition in a<br>playful and non-judgemental approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intuitive painting is about the journey; what you discover by letting go and becoming free,<br>with no attachment or judgement on any pictorial outcome or result.<br>The art course is about being guided by the process, rather than trying to maintain<br>control.This path of discovery will be a liberating and explorative experience.<br>At the beginning of each day we will set an intention, related to the daily theme set in the<br>morning Yoga and meditation class. Once in a free flow state we will be able to engage with<br>our tools and materials to discover the unseen transformational spaces within us.<br>Colour, texture, layers, collage and spontaneous mark making will transpose the complexity<br>of our spirit onto paper, leading to new connections and conversations.<br>This workshop does not require any prior experience with painting or any artistic practice. She lives in the South of Spain working full-time facilitating<br>retreats. Additionally she runs her own entrepreneurial project Essentially Raw<br>(www.essentiallyraw.se) where she offers advice and coaching on plant-based foods and<br>holistic living. Earlier in her career she also founded the Open World Cafe in Stockholm,<br>developing its concept and over-seeing the daily management of the creative cuisine for<br>several years.<br>Kathrin runs regular workshops in Raw Food and holds a Raw Food Chef Diploma from the<br>Creative Health Institute in Michigan\/USA. Further qualifications include an Aromatherapy<br>and Massage Diploma from Axelsons Gymnastiska Institut in Stockholm.
